To grow your business, you need to attract new customers. How do you do that? By using any, or all, of these five tips:
1. Offer first-time customers a discount.
Offer all first-time customers a one-time discount. You can offer something like 10% off their first purchase or free shipping.
2. Make referring a new customer easy and rewarding.
Offer incentives to existing customers for referring a new customer. Send an email to your existing customers that includes a $5 off coupon for them and a $5 off coupon to share with a friend.
3. Hold a flash sale.
Everybody likes a sale. A flash sale creates a sense of urgency for potential customers. Maybe they’ve been looking at items at your store for a long time, but haven’t been willing to make a purchase – a flash sale could encourage them to finally make that first purchase.
4. Connect with your target market.
Know what your market likes to do and where they spend their time. If your target market is on social media, be on social media and become part of their conversations.
Share your company’s story with your potential customers. Your story will humanize your company and allow your market to better connect with you.
5. Give something away.
Give something away for free to encourage shoppers to visit your store. You can either offer it at your store (“First 10 customers get a free koozie!”), or you can cohost a giveaway with other businesses on social media platforms, like Instagram.
